Stupid People

Stupidity. That's one of the many reasons I left Steve. Example: He calls me up last night to inform me that the check he wrote to pay the van payment bounced, so he won't be paying the payment until the 15th (next week-next payday) because he apparently does not know how to keep a check register or bank balance accurate. He never has really. When you write a check, you write it down in your register, and then keep track of the balance when you spend more money either via pulling $ from the atm/bank or using your card by also subtracting those amounts and then you follow what is in your register as available balance, not by what the bank online statement says is your available balance, unless the checks you've written and the debits you've made have all cleared. (Of which you check against your register and mark as cleared as they clear.) Am I right? Or am I wrong? It's not the banks fault you don't keep track of your balance properly. 1) they are waiting for you to screw up so they can charge you fees 2) they also feel it is your responsibility, not theirs, to keep track of how much money you have available and only spend that amount.

Now that I've lectured all the people in my life that actually KNOW what you're supposed to do with a checking account, I'm going to conclude by saying I'm really fucking pissed that I now have to hide my van for the next several days until he makes the payment. Fucking jackass retard! Grrrrrrr
