What a week!!!

So, I mentioned before that Alex was sick again. Well, he really got sick this time. Saturday, puking. Sunday, not so bad, a few icky diapers... Monday, severe runs all day, same tuesday and wednesday, not so bad thursday and today isn't shaping up all that bad so far. He got so bad though, that I took him into the ER at Stevens and they ran some bloodwork on him and gave him an IV for fluids because he was pretty badly dehydrated. Some of his levels weren't where they wanted them so they transferred him to Children's Hospital in Seattle. They looked at him, said that Steven's was over reacting and that we just need to make sure to keep him hydrated and to give him some stuff to help the good bacterias in his stomach come back to the levels that they needed to be at to help fight this bug. It's a viral thing they said. And apparently everyone is getting it. Both hospitals said they've had a ton of people in for dehydration in the past 2 months because of this crud. So then in the middle of all this with Alex, Matthew came down sick as well. Not as severe as Alex, but miserable none the less. He's got the puking part of it and a couple icky diapers and decreased appetite.And a grump from hell, lol. So anyhow, Alex is feeling MUCH better now, and almost back to his normal goofy self. Much better than lethargic hold me constantly barely alive Alex that he was before. Oh, the fun story from all of it... As I'm talking to Cristi on the phone, Alex rips out his IV and says "it's a mess!" yeah, it's a mess, blood everywhere, the little turd, lol... So I grab the nurse and he holds his arm out to her and asks her to take off the bandage that they'd put over the IV to keep him from pulling it out. She just laughed and did it... what else can ya do? He obviously felt better and was ready to go home now... lol...
