Whew!

Okay so I added an extra year onto my dad's life somehow. I guess he turned 66 not 67... oops, sorry dad, lol... His birthday dinner went well and he loved his cake. He asked for a pineapple upside down cake like his mom used to make him growing up. I made one. Not sure how good it turned out though, as I haven't made one in years. Update on the car... We're back to 2 cars again. Luckily Stevis and his buddy will were able to compression start it and get it home. When they got here, they tested the altenator and all the fuses. Luckily the problem was just a fuse and that was easily and cheaply remedied. yea! So less $$ we had to fork out on the car. So what does Steve do? he goes out to the bar then to a friends house for the night and spends $ we don't really have as it was meant for me to get the brakes done on the van. And of course he doesn't bother to tell me that he's not coming home. And of course Alex has one of THOSE nights where he wakes every 2 hours crying for daddy. So neither Vicki or I got any sleep. Or at least very little sleep. Hopefully I can make up for that tonight by going to bed early! Which is where I'm headed now... so good night all!
