Communication

Communication
Current mood: happy

It's always said that good communication is a key to a lasting relationship. If you and your other half can't communicate your thoughts and feelings, it tends to put a damper on the relationship. I find it to be very true. Steve and I could never communicate, or when I'd try, I would be told my thoughts and feelings were wrong, or they were just plain ignored like I'd never said anything so I stopped trying at some point. I clammed up and that was that. Then along came Kelly again, a person I've never had a hard time saying anything to really. Lately we've been fighting or just plain ignoring each other, which is so not like us. Unfortunately for us, both of us are people who feed off of other peoples emotions, and we've both been really stressed out, which in turn has snowballed. I finally decided to put an end to that almost week long brick wall we were both feeling yesterday afternoon. Boy am I glad I did, because we were both feeling the same way, and clammed up and that really didn't help anything. We had a much happier, relaxing evening after that. For that I'm truly happy. It was really nice. We made dinner together (well, sort of) and we curled up and watched the rest of a movie I hadn't gotten a chance to finish yet, and went to bed early. So anyhow, I guess the point to this post is keep the communication open and life is a happier place.
