We went on a hike today to Wallace Falls. It was so beautiful! Even Alex did most of the hike all by himself! I'm so proud of my little guy!!!! That's a huge feat for a 2.5 year old. Even I was huffing and puffing. Yea for not being in as good a shape as I thought I was getting, lol! It was a beautiful day, there were a bunch of us that went. I did get some great pics of some of the falls. There was one major hiccup in the whole trip. Vanessa got stung by a bee and we all wound up getting the express trip down the mountain in the back of the rangers truck. She's allergic and didn't have an epi pen with her. I had to drag her about 1/4 of the way down to where I could call the rangers, and then they high tailed it up as far as they could drive and hiked in. Toby carried her to the truck (he'd gone way ahead of us, so he had to catch up on the way down). She spent a few hrs in the hospital, had a delayed reaction luckily so she was already at the hospital when the worst of the symptoms hit. She's fine now, and will be better over the next few days probably. I told her I'd just kick her ass next time, lol. Going to have to do that hike again I think though, since we didn't quite make it all the way to the top. All the kids had a blast though! I'm so proud of all of us slackers who made it as far as we did! I need to do some more hiking. Found a new pastime I think :D
