Oh Happy Day!

So I finally was able to get more body wash from bath and body works. I'm so happy about this, as I am very much in love with a certain scent and it's been out of stock for a while and I was near out of it. I thought they had discontinued it or something, because they hadn't had any in for like a month... I also snagged some yummy smelling candles from yankee candle thanks to Cristi, lol... My sis managed to get a new bra too, with much help from Alex. He insisted she needed a bright red push up one that was too small though. He liked all the bright red bras, kept pulling them off the racks as we walked past, sheesh... that boy is going to have a womens underwear fettish at the rate he's going, lol... So all in all it was a pretty satisfactory shopping day for us :D

Got a new cell phone today. It's much nicer than my other one. Kelly decided to get us a family plan, so it would be cheaper for both of us. Wound up with the same phone too, lol. He's been very anti-cell for a very long time and he's finally come to realize the convenience of them. Now he just needs to learn all the in's and out's and he'll be doing good, lol... I had mine figured out in about 2 minutes, lol... It's nice to not really have to worry about my minutes any longer. With prepaid, you eat through minutes like crazy. Now just to eat up the time on my prepaid acct and I'll be all switched over....

Wow...

It sure is weird being off of work for so many days straight when I got used to working almost every day over the holidays... I had a whopping two days this week and will have 3 next week. I just know I'll have to work superbowl sunday too... It's my luck... Maybe, just maybe, I'll get lucky and they'll give me a morning shift or a closing shift that will start when the game is over... though I'd much rather sit around with Kel and watch the game and just have a good time.. blah.... Well, I guess I can put in for a morning shift only request tomorrow when I'm at work or something... Doesn't hurt to try! lol...

Just felt like sharing...

So, as some of you may know, I've been back together with my eldest son's father for a little over a year now. I won't go into the why we didn't stay together in the first place junk, because it's not something that really matters now. I'm just happy that we wound up back together. Why? Because he's matured into the most loving, caring, honest, supportive, and devoted man I've had the pleasure of being in a relationship with. Aside from his quiet self loathing when he's being moody and down about stuff he has no real control over, he seems to be the perfect match for me. Anyhow, I've come to love him so much and I now know what it feels like to have those feelings reciprocated. I'm wonderfully happy and that is something I've not been in many years. Now I just need to have someone take a good photo of the 2 of us so I can share it, don't have one of those yet, lol...

Let the sun shine down!

It's so absolutely beautiful here today. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, it's a nice 52 degrees out... I'm loving it. My fleece pullover was actually too heavy a coat for running errands in! It's days like this that I live for. I feel so alive and happy when it's nice out like this. It also helps that I had an excellent night last night ;) and then did my taxes this morning to find a very favorable number coming back. Got to take an uninterupted shower and then ran my errands with a very happy and cooperative Alex and came home and he took a nap with very little fuss. All in all, I really can't complain right now. Things seem to be good and falling into place slowly but surely. It's about friggin time I feel this way :)

Holy F****in hell...

I had the most messed up nightmare/dream last night. I had been essentially sexually assaulted by a cop in a small town and no one believed me and he was tormenting me with the fact, parading around and crap. I never got to see how it would have ended though because Alex woke me up, argh... It was really messed up though, and I woke up with a sore boob, where I had gotten a big bruise in my dream.

I just had to share this photo of Alex and I from the other day. It's not normally his thing to just climb up in my lap and hang out like this, so I had my sis snap a quick pic of us. I really do like this photo, even though it shows my double chin, lol... It's nice when your kids decide to snuggle with you. Though it can be a pain as well, as he always does it when I'm in the middle of something. That's where my secret special weapon of "Blues Clues" comes into play. Just say that and he's headed for the chair in front of the tv to sit and veg out to a few episodes. He LOVES all his brothers old blues clues videos. Too bad they haven't just released them all on dvd... either individually or as a boxed set, I know a lot of parents would be all over that! I know I would be!!!

Ugh

So, I haven't updated this thing in a while... Not a whole lot has been going on... just same shit different day really. Christmas was okay... Alex had his 2nd birthday and made out like a bandit. He even decided to warm up to my dad a little bit. He has been scared of my dad from day one and no one knows why, except maybe the fact that he has a beard. But he was all over his papa on his birthday so that was a present for his papa. I got a ton of photos... Oh, my bit of good news is that I got hired on at Michaels, so I now have a "permanant" job. It's not quite full time, so not a lot of bene's, but it's $. I hopefully will be getting a raise. I also lost 5 lbs, so that's a plus too.... Yeah, that's about it really... not much else going on....
