Yea for accomplishments!

So I've had this thing on my long list of crap to do for a long time. Hang 2 candle sconce shelf thingies and a picture in my bedroom. Sounds easy enough and shouldn't take long, but I've been putting it off none the less... I finally decided to get off my ass and do it today. Looks pretty good. Of course, me being me, I can't just slap 'em up on the wall and call it good. I have to first measure the wall, make sure I center the picture, then measure out an exact distance on either side of the picture to hang the sconces, then at a certain level on the wall. So what should take like what, 5 minutes of course takes me like an hour... broken up because of distractions, so really takes me like 6 hours all together. But it's now done and my room is almost complete. I just need some nifty fake plants to put on my shelves and it will be purty. Off to walmart I go tomorrow to try to find some that don't look too fake. Hopefully I'll find some that look okay that aren't $15 each. Anyhow, blah. That was my excitement for the day! Woooooo I need a life, lol...

Wonderful Day...

So I had a good day yesterday. Went and hung out at the pike place market and westlake mall. Didn't really do much but wander around, look at how things had changed since either of us were last down there. I did do a little shopping and bought Alex a t-shirt at the market that says I'm 1 and I got my attitude from my dad! Very cute. It was nice to get out and just wander and relax away from all the stress of everything for a day. Many thanks to my sis for taking the monsters for me for the day. :D I like relaxing days where I don't feel rush rush to do anything... Funny thing though... at one stand, I picked up a bunch of fresh mint and the guy looked at me and said Mojito! Now to most people, they'd be like wtf? To me, it made me really go WTF!!?? Because that has been the word of the month for Vicki and I and I'm trying to find a bartender that can make the drink (which calls for fresh mint leaves) so that I can try it. I just found it odd and funny that he should say that to me of all people, lol...

So Tired...

So tired of feeling tired, run down or just plain sick. Wish I could just be a healthy human being for once in my life. Tired of taking pills every day just to prolong my miserable existance. Tired of being tired of being tired... It's just a crap night. I feel like crap, the kids are acting like crap and all I want to do right now is snuggle and sleep... sleep long and hard and feel refreshed and well in the morning... argh. And I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing me bitch about being sick, or being tired... Sorry everyone... I'll quit my bitching for now and try go to bed....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX!!!

So today is my baby boy's 1st birthday. God where did the time go? Fuck, where did the time go with Ian, he's 8 1/2! Anyhow, we're having one of his favorite foods for dinner, Spaghetti and garlic bread and then doing the cake and icecream thing after that. He gets his very own cake, free courtesy of safeway bakery. :D This should be fun and entertaining, as the cake is one of those 8" rounds! That's one big cake just for a 1 year old. I bought a 1/4 sheet cake for everyone else, let him make a big old fatty mess with the round one :D

Oh, and of course, the weather is cooperating in the spirit of his birthday. It's now snowing and has been for about an hour or two. Not really any accumulation yet, but maybe there will be. Last year on this day, there was about 4" on the ground here by 7:30 am when we left for the hospital for my induction. We got some drifts up to about a foot-foot and a half in some places. And it was all gone by the time I got out of the hospital 2 days later to come home with my new bouncing baby boy. So I didn't get to play in it last year, but hopefully we will this year as a family :D
