So very sad...

So, we're supposed to be moving in just a couple days, and my kitty has gone missing. Of course. Tomorrow I'm going to post lost posters and the kids and I will go door to door to see if anyone has seen him. I miss him so very much because he is part of the family and the coolest cat. Makes me want to almost cry. I emailed Stevis about it and he's really upset too. It's his favorite cat. So far in the past few months I've lost my grandma and both my cats. This year is totally turning out like shit and I'm not too happy about it. Guess I'll go curl up in bed and mope now...

Friggin Grrrr

So, I know we all know anything having to do with the government is retarded and backasswards. And I did sign up for this shit. But I still reserve the right to bitch now and then since I vote, right? Moving.... A fact of life for me. This time it's a choosen move, but my god, do they have to make it this ridiculous and hard on me? So here's the story... We're moving into a 4 bdrm refurbished house. Much nicer than the shit we're in now... they actually have carpet! And gas everything, which is much better than baseboard heating... So anyhow, the navy housing is being sold off to a civilan contractor who is going to expand the current housing area, adding many new houses. All good as far as that goes, because there's a housing shortage around here. Bad part is they are envoking all these screwy ass rules on us, worse than the military ones... Having to register our cars, microchip our pets and give them the chip numbers and shit like that. And here's the kicker for me... Since I'm already in a unit, I have to go sign a lease this week for the unit. But I'm moving in like 3 weeks to the newer unit.... And when I do that, I have to go back in, resign all that lease paperwork and do it all over again! WTF! yea for wasting time and paper, whooohoooo! Can't wait 3 weeks for me to move can they. Then, when they officially take over, which now isn't until early next year, we will have to start paying rent. Which is no issue if we set up an allotment through the payroll guys and have the $ sent straight to the PPV people. But if we want to just cut them a check, we have to pay a deposit?! WTF again! It almost isn't worth living in friggin housing any more for all the damn hoops they're making us jump through. Smooth transition my ass. Fucking dipshit stupid ass motherfuckers. No wonder half the people on the waiting list for housing said fuck this shit and bought houses. I can't say I blame them, and if we were in any sort of position to do the same thing, we would. So there's my rant for the day.

Ohhhhh Halloween...

Our Halloween was pretty fun. Ian was Zorro and Skye was Spiderman. I took them out trick or treating around the neighborhood with their friend Troy, then to a party at their friend Devin's house. They got a ton of candy and had a blast at the party.... The party was really organized and really fun for all the kids. They had several games for them to play and everyone was included and everyone got to win at least one game. There was pass the broom, which was like musical chairs, except the person holding the broom when the music stopped was out. Bobbing for apples, which we all know... Worm pie, where gummy worms are placed in the bottom of a pie pan and covered in whipped cream. They had to use only their mouths to find the worms and pull them out of the pie and put them on the table, kid with the most worms at the buzzer wins. Skye won twice. Then there was The Mummy Game, where everyone splits into teams and takes rolls of tp and wraps one of the kids per team up from head to toe like a mummy and the team with the best mummy (kid most wrapped up) wins a prize. Then we just turned on the music and let the kids dance. It was really fun for everyone. Even us moms who wished we had a little somethin' to drink besides the worm punch, lol. They also had some fun munchies, spider cupcakes (cupcakes with chocolate frosting, red hots for eyes and black licorice legs). All in all it was a good night. We ran out of candy to hand out really fast despite the fact that I bought 5 bags. Vicki manned the door with Alex while the other two boys and I were off trick or treating and partying....
